TM in the PM: The GB-wide transport manager community event.
What is TM in the PM?
TM in the PM is a quarterly get-together for transport managers, run by The Transport Manager Hub. It's a relaxed afternoon of peer conversation, learning and community, bringing together current and aspiring transport managers, and anyone responsible for fleet management, from across Great Britain.
Each session is hosted by Beverley Bell, former Senior Traffic Commissioner for Great Britain, and Pete Rushmer, often joined by Alison Moriarty and Laura Thomas. We take a real Traffic Commissioner decision, talk through what happened and what it means in practice, then open the floor. Expect honest discussion, shared experience, and the chance to raise the compliance headaches you're wrestling with in your own operation.
It's a genuine chance to network with other TMs, take part in live polls and Q&As, and talk directly with the presenters. Deliberately informal: less a lecture, more a room full of people who actually enjoy talking transport, learning from each other's near-misses rather than their own.

We alternate between in-person events at a UK venue and online sessions via Microsoft Teams, so wherever you are, you can be part of it.

Who is it for?
Current and aspiring transport managers, and anyone responsible for fleet management, across Great Britain. All experience levels are welcome, whether you're an internal TM, an external consultant, or coming to it from a related role.
How much does it cost?
TM in the PM is free to attend and is now open to Transport Manager Hub members only. Once you're a member, you'll receive the joining link ahead of each event.
Is it in person or online?
Both, over time. We listen to our members, and we alternate between in-person events at a UK venue and online sessions via Microsoft Teams so everyone gets the chance to take part.
How often does it run and when?
Quarterly, from 15:00 to 17:00. Dates are announced ahead of each event, and members receive the details and joining link directly.
What actually happens on the day?
We work through a real Traffic Commissioner decision, draw out the learning points, and open up for debate, live polls and Q&As. There's plenty of room to network, ask questions and share your own experience. It's friendly and informal throughout.
Do I need to prepare anything?
Not at all. Just come with an open mind and, if you like, a compliance question or two you'd value other people's views on.
